The Tale of Laf 26

posted on: June 22, 2009

Once upon a sophomore year, B used to live in the kingdom of Lib Square in the tall, tall tower of Lafayette 26. Three lovelies* lived with her. They laughed a lot. They made movies. They made more movies about whales and pictures of old men and pimp faces. They fumed at the snow and learned to play the guitar and ate Mickey Mouse Pancakes. They missed Relief Society and decorated once with a map. They went to Midway with the Original Roster. They fell in and out of love. And they made a landing strip for the killer moth. Sometimes they were mad or hurt and sometimes Lafayette 26 was very quiet. Rags went unwashed, boxes went unrecyled, and the carpet most definitely went unvacuumed.

But they all had great hearts. B learned a lot from each of them.

And today I missed them terribly.
